Spider-Man director Sam Raimi in talks to direct Doctor Strange 3

Director Sam Raimi, known for helming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, is reportedly in discussions to return for the third instalment of the Doctor Strange franchise. According to film critic Jeff Sneider, Marvel Studios has approached Raimi to take the reins once again, with the studio aiming for a 2027 release date.
The news follows the confirmation that Benedict Cumberbatch will reprise his role as Dr Stephen Strange, also known as the Sorcerer Supreme. Marvel is reportedly planning to position Doctor Strange 3 between two highly anticipated films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.
